The Empowered Community Show continues on Friday morning, February 24 with our discussion on water security.
This week we'll chat with Dr. Patrick Cox, Board Member and recently retired Executive Director of the Trinity Edwards Springs Protection Association. (tespastexas.org)
Patrick is a longtime Wimberley resident. His mother and stepfather created the Wimberley View newspaper in 1974, where Patrick served as Editor for many years. An accomplished author of many books on Texas history and the Texas environment, Dr. Cox has served as head of the Barton Springs/Edwards Aquifer Groundwater District, the Wimberley Valley Watershed Association, and the Jacob's Well Land Trust. He has served as past President of the Wimberley Lion's Club.
In March, Empowered Community will feature discussions about food security. We'll chat with organic farmers, experts in raising your own poultry and meat, and speak with a local grocery executive about supply chain issues and food stocking priorities during emergencies and storms.
Tune in from 7-9 each Friday morning with Dee Rambeau and John McGimsey on KWVH 94.3 FM or streaming on KWVH.org and on KWVH's Apple and Android apps.
